San E Cleared of Home Invasion Allegations at Female Singer’s Residence: Case Closed with Twist Ending

On July 8, San E announced through his personal account that he received a “no indictment” decision due to insufficient evidence regarding the case involving alleged joint trespassing, joint property damage, and violation of the Act on Punishment of Violent Acts.
Previously, according to an exclusive report by Xports News on May 12, Chinese singer Reta filed a police complaint this March, accusing San E and a company representative (referred to as Mr. A) of unlawful residence intrusion and co-concealment of property.
Chinese Singer Reta Accuses San E of Unlawful Entry and Property Concealment
The complaint states that while Reta was staying in China due to visa issues, San E allegedly instructed Mr. A and others to enter her home without permission and remove or dispose of furniture and personal belongings that were in storage.

Reta claimed she never shared her front door password with anyone and that both the entry and property removal were done without her knowledge or consent.
San E and Mr. A are expected to be summoned for police questioning in the coming month.
San E’s Legal Troubles — From Assault Charges to Apology
This case follows a previous special injury charge San E faced last year. In August 2023, he was investigated for allegedly assaulting a passerby (Mr. B) with his mobile phone near a park entrance in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The victim reportedly sustained facial and dental injuries.

At the time, San E, his father, and Mr. B were all booked for mutual assault, but the case was closed after both sides expressed they did not wish to pursue punishment. However, due to the nature of the injury, San E’s charge was upgraded to special injury, and the case proceeded separately.
San E later issued an apology through his legal representative, stating:
“I sincerely apologize to the victim for the harm caused by my actions. I hope to meet in person to ask for forgiveness.”
In March 2024, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office granted San E a suspension of indictment, effectively closing the case.
San E debuted in 2010 with “Everybody Ready” and gained popularity with hits like “LoveSick,” “Story of Someone I Know,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness.”

In 2017, at the “KBS Special Friendship Super Show,” rapper San E was criticized for overly intimate actions and inappropriate remarks toward Irene (Red Velvet) on stage, which angered fans and the online community, leading them to demand an apology from him.
