Meanwhile, “History of Scruffiness”, which was confirmed for production in 2020, completed filming in 2023, but its broadcast was postponed indefinitely due to successive allegations of school violence by actors Jo Byung-gyu in 2021 and Song Ha-yoon in April of last year.

On the other hand, previously on February 21st, OTT platforms Wavve and Watcha released the teaser video for “History of Scruffiness”.  Previously, media outlet Xports News exclusively reported that the drama would be released twice a week on the two aforementioned platforms starting on the 26th.

The cast includes Jo Byung-kyu, Song Ha-yoon, and Ryeo-woon, among others, with director Kim Sung-hoon, known for famous works such as “Rampant” and “Confidential Assignment”, and *Detective 1958*, leading the project. The original webtoon creator, Kim Poong, wrote the script.

However, Song Ha-yoon is nowhere to be seen in the unveiled teaser, likely due to school bullying allegations that emerged in April last year. At the time, an individual living in the U.S., referred to as “A,” appeared on a JTBC show and claimed that in 2004, as a high school junior, they were called out by their senior, Song Ha-yoon, and slapped for 90 minutes without knowing the reason.

In response, Song Ha-yoon’s side denied the claims, stating, “After confirming with the actress, she has no acquaintance with the accuser, and all allegations are false. The accuser’s one-sided claims have led to indiscriminate speculation and baseless rumors. We strongly request that unverified information and speculative reporting be avoided.”

Lead actor Jo Byung-kyu has also faced school bullying allegations. He was accused of being a perpetrator in 2021, which led to a hiatus in his career. However, he made a comeback with tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch”. Regarding the allegations, Jo Byung-kyu has denied them, stating, “I am still doing my best to prove that they are not true.”
