In the early hours of March 13, Seo Ye-ji took to her official fan café, Yejiyechan, to express her frustration. She wrote, “I’m only human. This is exhausting, overwhelming, frustrating, and suffocating. I kept holding back, again and again… I even replied to this comment without realizing it and then deleted it.” She also shared a screenshot of a comment left on her social media.
In the screenshot, a netizen wrote, “Did Kim Soo-hyun cheat on you while adjusting his relationship status with the late Kim Sae-ron? Don’t disappoint us a second time.”
Seo Ye-ji responded, “I wish this would stop. I have absolutely no connection to him or his cousin. I don’t even know why I have to clarify this, but today, I just feel so suffocated.”

Seo Ye-ji starred alongside Kim Soo-hyun in the 2020 tvN drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” Following the drama, she signed an exclusive contract with Gold Medalist, the agency that also managed Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, which led to dating rumors. The speculation suggested that Seo Ye-ji had dated Kim Soo-hyun before breaking up with him and later becoming involved with his cousin, director Lee Ro-bae. However, in 2023, she left Gold Medalist amid allegations of gaslighting her ex-boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun is currently embroiled in controversy over allegations that he dated Kim Sae-ron for six years, beginning in 2015 when she was still a minor. Recently, a photo of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek surfaced, along with text messages reportedly sent by Kim Sae-ron to Kim Soo-hyun regarding a legal document. Despite the growing controversy, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency maintains that the dating rumors are false.
