Actress Park Min-young addressed the suspicion surrounding her
On January 15th, Park Min-young posted two photos of herself smiling broadly on Instagram with the caption, “Sick of it all. But I believe that the truth will ultimately prevail, and now I have enough strength to protect Beans (fandom name). Don’t worry.”
Earlier, Dispatch reported that Park Min-young received 250 million won from her ex-lover Kang Jong-hyun for use as living expenses. This is a severe accusation, considering that Kang Jong-hyun is known to have embezzled more than 60 billion won.
Park Min-young’s agency Hook Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Hook) refuted, “Actress Park Min-young was investigated by the prosecution as a reference to Kang Jong-hyun’s use of Park Min-young’s account as a borrowed name around February 2023, and through this, it made it clear that actress Park Min-young did not participate in or benefit from illegal work.”
They explained, “The 250 million won mentioned in the article was used by Mr. Kang Jong-hyun, and it was not used for Park Min-young’s living expenses.”
They added, “Park Min-young has been misunderstood due to untrue information for over a year. Despite receiving criticism from many people, she regrets and reflects on her actions that were not careful in many ways. She is now more dedicated to her main job, acting, through good works and good performances.”
Meanwhile, Park Min-young is appearing in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Marry My Husband”.
