Jisoo and Rosé boasted their strong friendship amid BLACKPINK’s uncertain contract renewal situation
On December 1st, Rosé uploaded a video titled “Paris Vlog” on her personal YouTube channel. In the released video, Rosé spent her leisure time going on a date with Jisoo, showcasing their unchanging friendship while BLACKPINK’s contract renewal is still undecided.
Meeting each other during the Chuseok Holiday, the two went to a Korean restaurant to celebrate it together. While eating songpyeon using chopsticks, Jisoo shouted, “Happy Chuseok”. Rosé replied, saying “We are like family”.
Later, Jisoo shared, “Chaeyoung (Rosé’s real name) slept in my room yesterday. I was really beaten up”. Rosé added, “She’s so funny”. Jisoo continued, “The Crayon Shinchan dance. I did that dance”. Rosé commented, “Feel like my body age would’ve become younger. Feel like I got younger by about 2 years. I laughed so much. I’m going to live long because of last night. It was so funny”
Regardless of whether they will renew their contracts or not, BLACKPINK members are still showing their bond. They even attended the event hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on November 22nd (local time) as a whole group, giving off a warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa) debuted in 2016 and their exclusive contracts already expired at the end of August this year. However, there’s still no official announcement about whether they would extend the contracts or not.
BLACKPINK wrapped up “BORN PINK” world tour with their encore concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in September. At the final concert, the members confessed, “We will continue to be a cool group BLACKPINK”, so fans thought the contract renewal would be announced soon. However, it’s been three months since the concert but nothing has been decided.
On November 14th, YG Entertainment said, “The renewal of BLACKPINK’s exclusive contract is still under discussion”, adding “The final result will be announced later”.
