Wheesung’s Final SNS Message Before His Passing: A Heartfelt Promise to Fans About His Concert

On March 10, singer Wheesung’s agency, Tajoy Entertainment, announced, “Our artist Wheesung has left us. He was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was later pronounced dead.”

They added, “We are deeply sorry to deliver such heartbreaking and tragic news. His sudden passing has left his family, fellow artists, and all employees of Tajoy Entertainment in great sorrow, and we mourn his loss.”

The agency also expressed, “It is truly painful to share this devastating news with all the fans who have given Wheesung unwavering support and love. We ask for your prayers so that he may rest in peace.”

According to police and emergency responders, Wheesung was found collapsed in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at around 6:29 PM (KST) on the day of his passing. Despite emergency efforts after his family reported the incident, he could not be revived. The police are currently investigating the exact cause of death.

Notably, on March 6, Wheesung communicated with fans through his social media, posting, “Diet is over. See you on March 15.” He was scheduled to perform at “The Story” concert at Daegu EXCO Auditorium on March 15.

Fans had cheered him on, leaving comments such as, “Finally, the tough diet is over. You worked so hard,” “See you in Daegu,” and “You’ve lost so much weight in just a month.” However, the shocking news of his passing has left them in deep grief.

Wheesung debuted in 2002 with his first album, Like A Movie, and gained immense love for his hit songs, including “With Me,” “Incurable Disease,” “Love Is Delicious,” “Insomnia,” “I Thought of Marriage,” and “Heartsore Story.”
