The boy group, SM’s first to debut in the UK, is a five-member group formed to conquer the overseas markets, including Europe and the US. It was created in collaboration between SM, Kakao Entertainment’s (hereafter Kakao Ent) North American integrated corporation, and the UK entertainment company Moon&Back (hereafter M&B).
M&B cast the members directly in the UK, while SM provided the K-pop expertise in music, choreography, and vocals to bring the group to life.

SM and Kakao Ent plan to continue their multifaceted business cooperation by producing global local IPs and building networks with leading partners worldwide, accelerating their global strategy.
The growth process of SM’s first UK boy group, set to debut in the second half of the year, will be aired this summer on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in a six-part TV series titled ‘Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience.’
The TV series will capture the K-pop training process and the journey of the UK boy group as they spent 100 days in Seoul, growing as musicians. It will feature SM’s Artist Development Center, responsible for casting and training, and include participation from the world’s top choreographers and composers.
Nigel Hall, co-founder of Moon&Back Media, stated, “Creating a British boy band and showcasing them on the global stage after an unparalleled K-pop training process is a world first and an unmissable broadcast.”
