A shocking twist has emerged in the ongoing blackmail case involving South Korean football star Son Heung-min, revealing a tangled web of romantic entanglements, spiritual advisors, and a ₩300 million settlement over an unverified pregnancy claim.

A Mysterious Pregnancy

At the center of the controversy is “A,” a 29-year-old freelance commercial model who claimed to be pregnant in June 2024 after being involved with two men: a businessman (Man #1) and Son Heung-min (Man #2).

In a leaked recording between A (Son’s ex-girlfriend) and B (the second blackmailer):

  • B: Do you even know whose baby it is? Do you really know?
  • A: How would I know whose it is?
  • B: Then you should’ve gone to either guy #1 or #2—not both!

According to the transcript, A had intimate relationships with two men around the same time:

  • Man #1: A businessman.
  • Man #2: Son Heung-min, captain of South Korea’s national football team.

A informed both men of her pregnancy. While Man #1 did not respond, Son did. She later sent Son a hospital test result showing an hCG level of 5,000 mIU/mL, indicating a pregnancy of about 5–6 weeks. However, A herself wasn’t certain who the father was (though she claimed it was “likely” Son). This uncertainty reportedly made B hesitant about proceeding with the second blackmail attempt.

Despite the uncertainty, Son responded, and after a meeting on June 24, A confirmed her decision to terminate the pregnancy. The next day, she underwent an abortion, and Son paid her ₩300 million KRW (~$215,000 USD). The two had no further contact—until another figure entered the picture.

The Second Blackmail Attempt

In December 2024, “B,” a 41-year-old with a past blackmail conviction, met A through a shaman named C. B later became A’s boyfriend and, by January 2025, claimed they were engaged. He discovered a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on A’s phone related to the abortion settlement and began demanding money.

To sum up:

  • A: A 29-year-old freelance commercial model. Met Son through a mutual acquaintance. Was also involved with another man in May 2024.
  • B: A 41-year-old man with a previous conviction for attempted blackmail. Met A through a shaman, C, in late 2024 and later became her boyfriend. He led the second blackmail attempt.
  • C: A well-known shaman who allegedly predicted A’s pregnancy and was present during her abortion. A later transferred 80 million KRW (~$58,000) to C.

B reached out to Dispatch and Son’s legal team, demanding ₩20 million (~$15,000) to hand over documents. When ignored, he shifted tactics, offering supposed “evidence” and demanding ₩70 million (~$51,000). In his messages, B claimed he had spent ₩80 million helping cover up the abortion.

Conflicting Timelines and Paternity Doubts

According to Dispatch’s timeline, both men A was involved with could have plausibly fathered the child:

  • May 23–30, 2024: A was in Japan with Man #1.
  • May 31–June 1: She possibly met Son.
  • June 2: Son left for a match in Singapore.

Leaked conversations between A and B reveal B’s concern, “How could you tell both guys the same story when you didn’t even know whose baby it was?”

The Role of the Shaman

Shaman “C” played a significant role throughout the process. She was present during A’s pregnancy confirmation, texted Son on A’s behalf, and was with her during the abortion. A reportedly transferred a total of ₩80 million (~$58,000) to C, including:

  • ₩30 million for spiritual rituals.
  • ₩25 million for a “golden toad” offering.
  • ₩25 million as a gift.

After the abortion, A went luxury shopping with C, spending ₩18 million (~$13,000), and later moved into a new home with a ₩50 million deposit.

A Conspiracy or Manipulation?

Secret conversations suggest A and B had discussed revising the NDA and using the situation to buy an apartment. However, C denied conspiring with B, claiming, “B gaslighted A for months. She tried to stop him, but he continued to blackmail Son—and us.”

Despite earlier inaction, Son’s side eventually questioned A’s story. The ultrasound image lacked identifiers, and the pregnancy timeline did not align with medical expectations. Believing he was acting responsibly at the time, Son complied with A’s demand without dispute.

However, with B’s involvement and mounting evidence, Son Heung-min’s team has now pursued legal action, preferring public scrutiny to further exploitation.

C later pleaded for leniency, saying, “Son Heung-min is the victim. A tried to stop B but failed. She didn’t want more harm.”

As the dust settles, the case highlights not just the dangers of manipulation but the vulnerability of public figures to deeply personal and legal entanglements.
