On the January 26th broadcast of the SBSprogram “My Little Old Boy”, Uhm Ji-won appeared as a special guest.
In particular, MC Shin Dong-yup mentioned Uhm Ji-won’s close friendship with Gong Hyo-jin and Son Ye-jin, saying, “I heard you live close to Gong Hyo-jin”, to which Uhm Ji-won responded, “I used to live about three minutes away by foot, but I recently moved, so now it takes about 10–15 minutes by car.”
When Shin Dong-yup playfully asked, “Did you move because it annoyed you to see her being lovey-dovey with Kevin Oh when he’s on leave?”, Uhm Ji-won laughed and replied, “I only meet her when Kevin isn’t around. The two of them are just so adorable.”
Then, talking about her close relationship with Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, Uhm Ji-won remarked, “They are truly a legendary couple. Their baby is so handsome and beautiful. I almost want to brag about him, even though he’s not my child.”
She also added, “Sometimes genetics don’t pass down perfectly, but in their case, it worked out flawlessly. Their baby is just too beautiful.”
When asked if she feels envious when seeing her friends’ married lives, Uhm Ji-won admitted, “I always feel envious. Actually, I was with Hyo-jin during her first date with Kevin in New York. After she finished filming ‘When the Camellia Blooms’, we spent Christmas together in New York, and that’s when she met Kevin. At that time, they weren’t officially dating; he was just like a younger brother to her. I asked her, ‘Is something going to happen between you two? How was it?’ And she replied, ‘He’s such a baby.'”
To this, Seo Jang-hoon jokingly questioned, “If it wasn’t a date, why didn’t you go with them?”, to which Uhm Ji-won replied, “I have my own schedule too,” sparking laughter among the audience.
