Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo Has Begun Filming Their K-drama, High Anticipation

According to media outlet StarNews, on January 12, actors Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo have begun filming the highly anticipated drama “Slowly and Intensely,” (tentative title, directly translated from Korean title) penned by renowned writer Noh Hee-kyung.
The work is set against the backdrop of the broadcasting world in the 1960s-1970s, portraying the story of a stage star and the individuals behind their success. Initially referred to as “Show Business,” the drama will now meet viewers under the title “Slowly and Intensely.”
Meanwhile, writer Noh Hee-kyung has previously collaborated with Song Hye-kyo on several popular works like “Worlds Within” (2008) and “That Winter, the Wind Blows” (2013), raising anticipation.
The news of Gong Yoo and Song Hye-kyo‘s potential collaboration has excited many fans. Currently, Song Hye-kyo is working on another film project called “Dark Nuns” with Jeon Yeo Bin, while Gong Yoo made a deep impression in “Squid Game 2”, despite his small amount of screentime.
“Slowly and Intensely” is the first project where Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo will act together, heightening anticipation for their performances and chemistry.
It is previously revealed that Song Hye-kyo has even cut her hair for this project.

Previously, the two stars were offered leading roles in the blockbuster “Descendants of the Sun“, with Gong Yoo was invited to take on the role of Captain Yoo Shi-jin, which was eventually played by Song Joong-ki. As a result, Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki worked together in this blockbuster, and later became a beloved couple until their divorce in 2019.
Besides Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo, other stars like Honey Lee and Kim Seol Hyun are also expected to participate in the project. The script for “Slowly and Intensely” is completed and is set to run for 24 episodes. Online streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+ are reportedly interested in acquiring the rights to the series.
