On Jan 16th, a video titled “Part 2! Not Me, But Song Hye-kyo’s Vlog…” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Kyang Ming Kyung”. The thumbnail, featuring Song Hye-kyo in casual attire, captured attention with the caption “A Night at Hye-kyo’s House”.
In the video, Kang Min-kyung and Song Hye-kyo enjoyed a hearty dinner of grilled beef intestines. Afterward, they headed to Song Hye-kyo’s residence in Samseong-dong, Seoul for a second round. Upon entering, they were greeted by Ruby, Song Hye-kyo’s 5-year-old dog. Song Hye-kyo rushed over to embrace Ruby warmly.
The two shared heartfelt conversations over drinks in the dining room. The cozy lighting, minimalist decor and stylish interior design of Song Hye-kyo’s home caught the eye. Even the bathroom, where the two brushed their teeth, boasted sleek and sophisticated decor.
Although the screen was slightly blurred, a glimpse of the bed where Song Hye-kyo lay could be seen. It was unclear if this was her usual resting place or a setup for the shoot, but the room featured white, cozy bedding and a wooden nightstand.
The following morning, Kang Min-kyung descended the stairs and encountered Ruby. Ruby’s small steps revealed a pristine floor, a well-maintained spacious yard and a gray carpet. The space was filled with traces of Ruby’s life, including a fluffy personal area and white ceramic food and water bowls.
During their conversation about hangovers, the table was briefly shown. The table exuded a tranquil and relaxed ambiance with a small vase of flowers, decorative bowls and a large window overlooking a scenic view.
As Kang Min-kyung sipped her morning Americano, she playfully asked Song Hye-kyo, “Don’t you have something like, ‘I always eat half an apple in the morning, followed by a sip of apple vinegar?’ A typical actress routine?”
Song Hye-kyo responded “Nope, nothing like that. I just eat rice”, eliciting laughter. Kang Min-kyung quipped, “Hye-kyo’s morning routine is rice. Rice and coffee.”
Kang Min-kyung then curiously asked, “What do you usually order when you wake up at this time?” Song Hye-kyo replied “When I’m managing my body, I don’t order much. I mostly eat homemade meals”, showcasing her dedication to self-care.
However, moments later, Song Hye-kyo opened a delivery app and browsed the menu, asking, “Is meat in the morning a bit too much?” She eventually ordered naengmyeon (cold noodles) and asked “We don’t need boiled pork, right?”, causing another burst of laughter.
Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo’s home, located in the affluent Samseong-dong neighborhood of Gangnam-gu, Seoul, gained attention last year when she completed her new detached house. She purchased the property in 2015 from Kang Jung-seok, chairman of Dong-A Socio Holdings, for 9.15 billion KRW, demolished the old house and rebuilt it in 2022.
The residence, where Song Hye-kyo currently lives, spans one basement level and two above-ground floors. The total floor area is 690 square meters (209 pyeong), with a lot area of 581.6 square meters (176 pyeong). Notably, the renovation expanded the house by over 60 pyeong and heightened the walls for enhanced privacy.
