The movie “Crypto Man” has taken first place at the box office for independent art films released. In the film, Song Jae-rim played the lead role of Yang Do-hyun, a young entrepreneur who repeatedly bankrupts and closes his business after receiving startup grants. This was supposed to be the actor’s comeback to the big screen after “Decoy” (2023), but tragically has become his final work.
Meanwhile, Song Jae-rim passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 39. The actor was suspected to have taken his own life after suffering from severe harassment from a sasaeng fan.
