YouTuber and influencer Song Ji-ah (Freezia) expressed her feelings after overcoming the fake product controversy
Song Ji-ah, also known as Freezia, appeared on MBC’s “Escape” broadcast on February 5th.
Song Ji-ah’s mother summoned her daughter for the service. She confessed, “I’m in my 50s and I’m very worried about my one and only daughter. The problem is that she has 5 million friends but there’s not a single close friend”.
Song Ji-ah shared, “I tell my Mom everything, even the secrets that I cannot tell anyone else”, adding “I’ll be anxious if I cannot contact her”. She continued, “I can’t live without Mom. If there’s no answer from her within an hour, I’ll call Dad to ask what’s going on. If he replies, I’ll feel relieved”, adding “If I can’t contact anyone, I’ll get anxious and it feels like nothing works out. It’s separation anxiety”.
When asked if she had recently shared her stories with anyone else except for her mom, Song Ji-ah replied, “I don’t talk to anyone. I either talk with Mom or keep it to myself”. She added, “There were times when things I said ended up being distorted, sometimes false rumors were considered true”. Hearing that, people on the show exclaimed, “It seems that she has closed the door to her heart”.
Revealing that she had 400 unread messages, Song Ji-ah explained, “When my friends call me, I tend to ask them to send messages. When I have an appointment to eat out with friends, I’ll think about my dog at home and hope that the plan will be canceled”. The female YouTuber said she got along well with friends during her school days but it’s hard for her to open up to others now.
Song Ji-ah confessed, “My words were often distorted and false rumors became true”, adding “People are calling the CEO a lot, asking why he signed a contract with Freezia. ‘She won’t listen to you, she’ll do whatever she wants’. I’ve heard such things a lot. I want to explain but the issue becomes more serious. I ignore it because it’s not true about me. It’s not true about my CEO either. He’s the nicest person in our company”.
Song Ji-ah then mentioned the fake product controversy, saying “After it happened, I pretended to be okay in front of people around me, whether when I was with Mom or Dad. I never cried in front of them”, adding “I’ve never said this to anyone. Mom was having a hard time, so I just laughed and said it was okay. ‘Everything will be okay later on’.”
She added, “I think I should change my mind and get closer to others. I didn’t know it was a problem. I opened my heart and tried to get closer to others but I don’t think I have to worry about that anymore. I’d better talk with mom like now. I hope she won’t get sick and live with me for a long time”.
