Who will be the stars entering or completing their military service in the first half of 2024?
First, Song Kang confirmed his active-duty enlistment on April 2nd.
Song Kang’s agency Namoo Actors announced on the official fan cafe, “We deeply thank all the fans who always love actor Song Kang and provide information about actor Song Kang’s enlistment.”
They also stated that there would be no separate official event on the day of enlistment to prevent safety accidents due to crowded conditions.
The agency appealed, “We ask for warm love and support from many people so that actor Song Kang can fulfill his duty to protect the country and return with a more mature and healthy appearance.”
Song Kang, who debuted in 2017 with tvN’s “The Liar and His Lover”, has been active in various works such as Netflix’s “Love Alarm”, “Sweet Home”, tvN’s “Navillera”, JTBC’s “Nevertheless” and SBS’s “My Demon”.
Singer-actor Hwang Min-hyun is also preparing to enlist.
According to his agency Pledis Entertainment, Hwang Min-hyun is scheduled to fulfill his military duty starting from April 21st. There will be no separate official event on the day of enlistment.
The agency stated, “Please refrain from visiting the site and other service sites. Please leave your wishes for the artist through Weverse messages. We ask for your continuous love and support so that the artist can faithfully fulfill his military duty and return with a healthier state. We will also make efforts to support the artist.”
Hwang Min-hyun is scheduled to continue his busy schedule until his enlistment. He will hold the solo fan meeting “The Peach Garden” at the COEX Shinhan Card Artium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from April 8th to 10th and unveil his new song “Lullaby” for the first time.
Aside from them, actor Na In-woo and singer Parc Jae-jung are also preparing for enlistment within this year.
On the other hand, there are also stars returning to their fans after completing their military service.
Actor Kang Tae-oh, who enlisted as an active-duty soldier in September 2022, is scheduled to be discharged on March 19th. Kang Tae-oh, who received much love with ENA’s drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” aired in the same year, left fans sad with his enlistment announcement just a month after the drama ended. Therefore, there is already anticipation for his discharge news.
Singer Ha Sung-woon, who enlisted as an active-duty soldier in October 2022, will be discharged on April 23rd. Before his enlistment, Ha Sung-woon released the 7th mini album “Strange World” with the title track “FOCUS” in August 2022, and successfully held a solo concert. Even during his military service last year, he released the single “Snowy Stars”, which he personally wrote the lyrics for, to convey his unchanged love to his fandom.
BTS’s Jin is also preparing for his completion of military service on June 12th. Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier on December 13th, 2022 and is currently performing his military duty as an assistant instructor.
Currently, all BTS members, including Jin, are fulfilling their military duty. Their activities as a complete group are expected to resume after June 2025.
Actor Cha Seo-won, who attracted attention by simultaneously announcing marriage and pregnancy news with actress Uhm Hyun-kyung in June last year, after just 7 months since his enlistment, is also preparing for his discharge on May 21st.
