Claims have surfaced about his worksite being relocated closer to his home and being granted special parking privileges.

On December 23, former entertainment reporter-YouTuber Lee Jin-ho uploaded a video titled “Is Song Mino a Celestial Being? I Visited His Workplace Where He Reportedly Drives a Supercar to Work“.

Lee Jin-ho began by addressing Song Mino’s long hair, “In the past, regulations for public service personnel specified that hair should not cover the eyebrows, ears or shirt collar, and that hairstyles, earrings or excessive dyeing causing discomfort were prohibited. However, the rule has since changed to state only that ‘appearance and attire should be neat’. While there are no specific restrictions on hair length now, there’s a significant discrepancy between the ‘neat appearance’ rule and Song Mino’s actual look.

He then delved into the “invisible benefits” surrounding Song Mino’s worksite reassignment.

He explained, “Public service workers are sometimes assigned to workplaces close to their residences, which might explain why Song Mino’s first assignment was the Seoul Mapo Facility Management Corporation, just 2.1 kilometers from his home. However, in March this year, his worksite was abruptly changed to the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility, which is even closer to his residence.”

Lee Jin-ho noted, “The system allows public service workers to request a reassignment, but it’s not something easily accessible to everyone.” He added, “A source claimed that Song Mino was initially deemed unfit for public service, and discharge was recommended. However, Song Mino reportedly refused, stating that he wanted to fulfill his service obligations. This determination led to his reassignment, reportedly due to difficulty adapting to his initial supervisor and psychological stress.”

Highlighting the proximity of the new workplace, Lee Jin-ho said, “The first worksite was a 22-minute public transport ride from his home. The new one is a single bus stop away, a distance that takes just 14 minutes on foot.

Lee Jin-ho also emphasized parking privileges, “Despite living just a 2~3 minute drive away, Song Mino commuted by car and parked at the facility, which has only 26 parking spaces excluding compact car spots. Staff at the site mentioned a chronic lack of parking. However, Song Mino consistently arrived at 10 AM and secured a spot. If he were an ordinary person rather than a celebrity, would it have been possible to be reassigned to an ideal location, maintain such freedom in appearance and monopolize limited parking spaces for 7~8 hours daily? These points raise significant questions.”
