Controversial “Squid Game” Stars Park Sung-hoon and T.O.P to Attend Netflix’s Global Event ‘TUDUM 2025’

On May 7, Netflix unveiled the official lineup poster for TUDUM 2025, its signature global fan celebration.
Representing Korea, the core cast of Squid Game, now gearing up for its third season, will appear before global audiences. Joining lead actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, and Kang Ae-sim are Park Sung-hoon and T.O.P—both making headlines not only for their roles but also for the controversies surrounding them.

Park Sung-hoon faced backlash in December after he accidentally uploaded an adult film cover to his Instagram shortly after the premiere of Squid Game Season 2. Though quickly deleted, the post triggered intense criticism. The incident ultimately led to Park stepping down from his lead role in the upcoming tvN drama The Tyrant’s Chef, as confirmed by Studio Dragon in January. Following the controversy, Park remained out of the spotlight—until now. His reappearance at TUDUM 2025 marks his first major public engagement in four months.

T.O.P, who has been the subject of ongoing scrutiny due to a past drug scandal, also returns to the public eye through Squid Game Season 2. While the project marks his official comeback, public opinion remains mixed regarding his participation.

TUDUM 2025 will take place on May 31 at 5 p.m. local time at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed live globally via Netflix on June 1 at 9 a.m. KST, offering fans exclusive previews and appearances from the stars of Netflix’s upcoming films and series.
