One notable success story is Son Ye Jin, who was scouted by Kim when she was a high school student, expressing her desire to act. Kim initially told her to study more and return in a year. Later, Son Ye Jin debuted and became a major star under Kim’s management.
Despite their long-standing relationship, Kim once felt uneasy when she received a cold and somewhat distant call from Son Ye Jin. Son Ye Jin said “Don’t you have something to tell me? Let’s meet today“, leaving Kim worried, particularly because she had just completed the recruitment of rising star Moon Chae Won without informing Son Ye Jin.
Rushing to the meeting place, Kim was startled to find Moon Chae Won already sitting with Son Ye Jin, both appearing distant and cold toward each other. Kim’s heart sank as she thought, “It’s already happened.“
Just as Kim sat down to handle what she thought was a brewing conflict, both actresses suddenly shouted, “Happy birthday!” Son Ye Jin had planned a surprise birthday party for Kim.
Son Ye Jin has since achieved immense success, winning Best Actress awards from Korea’s three major film awards five times, achieving a Triple Crown. Including other ceremonies, she has won over 15 Best Actress awards, with more than 40 awards total, including drama excellence and popularity awards. Following her appearance in the hit drama “Crash Landing on You”, she gained significant recognition domestically and internationally.
Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin is currently working with MSTeam Entertainment under a new contract.
