Recently, Choi Geon-hee, the older brother of late artist Sulli, once again drew the attention of netizens with his new SNS update. In particular, Choi posted a blank black post on Instagram and captioned it “Sadist”.

While the post offered no additionally context, many linked it with Choi Geun-hee’s previous updates and speculated that it may have to do with Kim Soo-hyun. In particular, they left comments such as, “Show him no mercy”, “Soo-hyun, now is the time you receive divine punishment”, and “I’m exactly sure what this caption means, but this is likely about Kim Soo-hyun. It seems that he is finally receiving his punishment”.
Meanwhile, previously on March 22, the older brother of the late artist Sulli posted a cryptic message on his personal Instagram account that has left netizens buzzing. The post reads:
“Kim-ssi, I have a lot to say, but I can’t. You’re going to fall from your high position, so you better hold on tight.”
While he did not mention any specific names, online communities such as theqoo and Pann quickly speculated that “Kim-ssi” could refer to Kim Soo Hyun, who starred alongside Sulli in the controversial 2017 film “Real.”

Upon release, Real was heavily criticized for its confusing plot and disjointed storytelling. Although it was promoted as Sulli’s bold acting transformation, the film sparked backlash—especially toward Sulli, who received an overwhelming amount of criticism due to her provocative scenes.
What angered fans the most, however, was the silence from Kim Soo Hyun and the film’s production team, who made no effort to speak out or defend Sulli amid the onslaught of public hate.

The film was directed by Lee Sa Rang, believed to be either Kim Soo Hyun’s half-brother, and a co-founder of Gold Medalist, Kim Soo Hyun’s current agency. This connection only deepens the suspicion that Sulli may have been left to face the fallout from the film entirely alone.

Comments from Korean netizens reflected long-standing frustration:
“Everyone just turned their backs on her.”
“If her brother’s speaking up now, there must be a reason.”
“They left Sulli to handle everything alone, and now they’re acting like nothing happened.”
After the post sparked controversy, Choi responded to fans, saying,
“How can so-called ‘fans’ be so unhelpful? I didn’t even mention the name ‘Soo Hyun,’ yet you all rushed in. You must be frustrated because you can’t fact-check anything, right? I’ve spent years living with just one sentence: ‘Well, there was no choice.’ At least it helps me stay sane.”
Choi continued, “Even without me, they’ll face plenty of trouble elsewhere, so I won’t bother saying more. Even if I did, it wouldn’t be factual, nor would it help you. Just let it go and move on.”
Expressing further frustration, Choi added, “By the way, aren’t you the ones constantly bringing this up? It’s extremely unpleasant to see my sister’s name still being mentioned everywhere.”
A few hours later, Choi remarked, “Does the word ‘fan’ give you some kind of special authority? In this situation, who are the real fans? To me, you all just seem like people tearing each other apart.”

Then, on March 23, Choi cryptically wrote, “My life, your life, everyone’s life is ‘Real’,” indirectly referencing the movie “Real.”
