According to a report from Newsis on November 21, Jiyeon and Hwang’s divorce mediation was finalized at the Seoul Family Court on November 20. Neither of the two parties attended the mediation session, and only their legal representatives were present. They reached an agreement on the division of assets.

The couple, who married in December 2022, have now officially separated after about two years. They have faced various rumors and speculations regarding their divorce, which came to an end in a tumultuous fashion after being in the media spotlight since June of this year.

While the details of their asset division have not been disclosed, the most attention-grabbing item is the luxurious penthouse where the couple had lived after their marriage.

The couple’s house was once showed on tvN’s program “Free Doctor”. Accordingly, the couple had resided in the Signiel Residence in Lotte World Tower, located in the Songpa district of Seoul. The Signiel Residence, which began accepting tenants in April 2017, occupies floors 42 to 71 of the Lotte World Tower. The apartments vary in size, with floors 44 to 46 ranging from 209 to 387 square meters, floors 47 to 56 from 271 to 374 square meters, and floors 61 to 67 from 350 to 384 square meters. The penthouses are located on the 68th to 71st floors, ranging from 667 to 1,238 square meters in size, with a duplex structure.

The cost of the apartments ranges from 4.2 billion to 37 billion KRW, with an average price of 75 to 80 million KRW per 3.3 square meters. The penthouses are priced around 120 million KRW per 3.3 square meters. Residents of Signiel Residence have access to amenities like a fitness club, golf practice range, and sauna facilities, which are free for two people per household for 20 years. The complex also provides exclusive community spaces on the 42nd floor, such as a café, gallery, party room, guest rooms, and a wine cellar, and strict security measures that require residents to switch elevators twice.
