T-ara Faces New Discord Rumors as Soyeon Confirms She’ll Miss Hyomin’s Wedding

On April 3, Soyeon shared a photo of her dog Totoro on her social media account along with a caption, “Don’t be sick, our Totoro. Everything overlapped. I was trying to handle everything alone, and even when my mom came to help, she ended up working non-stop. I couldn’t even visit the CEO in Gyeonggi-do in March. And now in April, I have to cancel all the checkups I had booked in Korea.”

She added “I won’t even be able to go to Hyomin’s wedding. This month and probably next month, I won’t be able to go anywhere. I just hope Totoro recovers quickly”, explaining her absence from Hyomin’s wedding, which will be held on April 6 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
Previously, a channel claimed in November last year, “Not only former member Hwayoung, but the T-ara members themselves weren’t that close.”
They said, “During my coverage, I learned that even during T-ara’s peak popularity—aside from the bullying scandal—the members weren’t very close.”

They continued, “Ironically, they grew closer through the bullying controversy and the group’s disbandment process. Back during T-ara’s activities, the members had strong individualistic tendencies.”

T-ara debuted in 2009 and added Hwayoung as a new member in 2010. After that, allegations surfaced that Hwayoung had been bullied by other members, leading to her departure from the group.
A Wedding That Explained All The Discord Rumors
Hyomin’s fairy tale wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love, it was a powerful statement that put to rest years of speculation about discord among T-ARA members and even bridged generations of K-pop royalty.
On April 6, T-ARA’s Hyomin married her non-celebrity fiancé, a successful financier, in a private ceremony at a luxury hotel in Seoul. With a guest list filled with close friends, family, and K-pop legends, the wedding was a visual and emotional spectacle that warmed fans’ hearts.

Despite past rumors suggesting rifts within the group, Hyomin’s ceremony became a moment of reunion and clarity. Except for Soyeon, members Boram, Qri, Eunjung, and Jiyeon were all in attendance, stunning in elegant ensembles and beaming with joy.
What truly stole the spotlight, aside from the radiant bride, was the sheer star power among the guests. The wedding became a mini-reunion for 2nd-gen K-pop idols, with Rainbow’s Go Woori, SISTAR’s Bora, SECRET’s Jun Hyo-seong, and Jewelry’s Lee Ye-won in attendance.

Go Woori posted several moments from the event, writing, “Such a beautiful, joyous wedding. Like a drama, with stunning visuals and heavenly vocals! So many familiar faces, why do none of you age? Thanks to Hyomin, it was a day of pure happiness.”
The congratulatory songs were performed by Gummy and actor-singer Im Si-wan, adding emotional depth to an already unforgettable event. Guests also included rapper San E and TV personality Hong Suk-chun, who posed for celebratory photos with the couple.

As photos circulated online, featuring “beauties standing next to beauties,” fans were quick to praise the genuine warmth and enduring friendships on display. In a world often fueled by rumors, Hyomin’s wedding stood as a graceful counterpoint: a celebration of unity, love, and resilience.
Whether it was a simple group hug or an Instagram post from a fellow idol, the message was clear: T-ARA’s bond remains unbroken, and the legacy of 2nd-gen idols is alive, well, and glowing.
