On February 14, Taiwanese singer Huang An took to his social media to express his belief that justice could not be realized and advised the woman who claimed to be going “to the battlefield” to avoid creating further disaster.
“Do not create new disasters as fate dictates”, he cited a famous quote, before adding, “Don’t fight among family. Lawsuits will only end in disaster.”
His comments referred to Barbie Hsu’s mother, who had publicly declared her intention to fight for justice following her daughter’s death.
Earlier, Barbie Hsu’s mother said, “I believe that justice will be served. I will go to the battlefield. Please support me. Let’s all join forces and serve justice for Barbie Hsu.” This was a declaration of war against Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband Wang Xiaofei and his mother, Zhang Lan.
The controversy centers on legal battles following Barbie Hsu’s death, with her ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, inheriting custody of their children despite his massive debt. Concerns arose over his control of a large portion of her fortune, sparking legal disputes involving Koo Jun-yup.
Huang An’s remarks in support of Wang Xiaofei fueled public outrage, with many sympathizing with Barbie Hsu’s mother and condemning outside interference. The situation remains highly contentious.
