Tang Wei, intense first meeting with Gong Yoo “I was worried about the size of my face”
On the morning of May 9th, the press conference of the movie “Wonderland” (directed by Kim Tae-yong) was held at CGV Yongsan in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, attended by actors Tang Wei, Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Choi Woo-sik and director Kim Tae-yong.
Tang Wei, who first met Gong Yoo through a video call, said, “We met and talked via video calls during the COVID-19 period. We talked about the script, and what impressed me was during a video call, I asked about the screen size.“
She recalled, “When I asked how big the screen was, I was worried that my face might appear too big because I was watching on a CRT-like screen.”
She smilingly added, “At first, I thought he was watching on a cell phone or iPad-sized screen, but he said he was looking at me on a screen of the actual size.”
“Wonderland” tells the story of the virtual world “Wonderland”, a simulated place for people to reunite with a person they may not meet again by using artificial intelligence. It will be released on June 5th.
