On March 27, YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute revealed a letter Kim Sae-ron wrote to Moonbin on April 27, 2023.
Kim Sae-ron began, “Bin, I miss you. I was in so much pain that I thought about ending my life. And then, I heard about you.” Moonbin had passed away on April 19, 2023. The two had been under the same agency and co-starred in “To Be Continued.” After his passing, Kim Sae-ron quietly mourned him by changing her profile picture to a dandelion.
She expressed regret for not calling him that day, wondering if she could have delayed the inevitable. “Every day, I waver. I think about following you. If you ever feel lonely, please visit me in my dreams.”
She also struggled with openly mourning him, fearing her presence would tarnish his memory. “The media’s relentless criticism disgusts me. I chose this life, so I must bear it. But you must have felt the same way. If only we had cried our hearts out together, just once.”
She ended with, “Rest peacefully, Bin. Your path will shine bright. I’m sorry I couldn’t embrace you enough. I love you. See you soon. I’ll be waiting.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, Kim Sae-ron’s attorney, Boo Ji-seok, held a press conference with Garo Sero Institute’s Kim Se-ui, again claiming Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron when she was underage. He presented alleged 2016 KakaoTalk messages, stating, “If they weren’t dating, I’d like to ask Kim Soo-hyun what kind of relationship it was.” Kim Soo-hyun has denied the allegations.
