The post included hashtags such as “The Remarried Empress” and “Germany”, along with the names Shin Min-ah, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young. This led netizens to speculate that the previously rumored cast had already started filming, sparking excitement.
“The Remarried Empress” follows the story of Navier, the perfect empress of the Dongdae Empire, who is betrayed when her husband, the emperor, tries to make his mistress the new empress. Choosing divorce over submission, Navier boldly declares, “If I cannot be empress here, I will become empress elsewhere.”
Originally a romance fantasy web novel, “The Remarried Empress” has been serialized as a webtoon since October 2019, proving its immense popularity. The news of its drama adaptation had already generated significant buzz.
Previously, Shin Min-ah was rumored to be offered the role of Navier, while Lee Jong-suk was reportedly in talks to play Heinrey Alles Lazlo, her second husband. As Joo Ji-hoon’s name entered the casting discussion, fans grew curious about his “royal” comeback. On March 7, it was reported that Lee Se-young had also received an offer for a role in the drama and was considering it.
