Reports have surfaced accusing a CEO of a talent agency of sexually harassing a member of a rookie girl group. The allegations were revealed during the JTBC program Incident Manager (사건반장) on November 22.

The CEO is alleged to have sexually harassed one of the members after witnessing her invite a male acquaintance to the dorm after a performance, reportedly using the incident to threaten her.

Incident Manager revealed an audio recording from a member of the multinational girl group “Team A,” which debuted in September, alleging sexual harassment. In the recording, during a conversation, the victim laughed, telling the CEO, “Let me stop after this promotion. That’s my wish,” and the CEO said, “If I grant your wish, will you grant me my wish?” and added, “My wish is for you to be my girlfriend for a day.

The audio recordings also captured the victim tearfully recounting the alleged abuse, “(The CEO) said, ‘Can I kiss you?’ and then forced himself on me. I kept my lips closed, but he tried to force his tongue in, kissing my neck and ears repeatedly.”

The member further alleged, “He said, ‘Can I touch your chest?’ and ‘Can I squeeze your butt just once?’ I told him no, but he continued for two hours, even touching private areas.

The agency has refuted the allegations, claiming that the member herself proposed a deal, “The member asked to remain in the group and offered to act as the CEO’s ‘girlfriend for a day’ in exchange.

They add, “There was no sexual contact between the member and the CEO. While it is true that the CEO hugged the member mutiple times to console her during repeated conflict and disturbances within the team, this can’t be considered sexual conatct.” The agency urged, “Please ensured the facts are accurately assessed to prevent the spread of distorted articles that harm the company’s reputation.”

The allegations have sparked widespread outrage and calls for a thorough investigation. As the story develops, public scrutiny remains fixed on the agency and its handling of the accusations.
