tvN to Launch New Romance Reality Show Featuring Celebrities as Matchmakers

On June 27, exclusive reporting by Star News confirmed that tvN is preparing a new romance reality show, aiming for a broadcast in the second half of this year.
The program is currently in the early stages of production and is being helmed by producer Shin So-young, known for tvN’s Hong Jin-kyung’s Movie Fan Fan Life. The show features celebrities acting as matchmakers, introducing their “genuinely great” friends to potential romantic partners.
CJ ENM, tvN’s parent company, is already renowned as a “powerhouse of romance programs.” They have successfully produced shows like TVING’s Blossom with Love, which explores high school first loves; tvN’s Skip, a 4-on-4 same-day blind date program; Mnet’s Love Catcher, where love and prize money tempt participants; Mnet’s Couple Palace, a large-scale wedding project for 100 single men and women; Mnet’s Somebody, where love is sought through dance; and TVING’s Transit Love, featuring ex-couples meeting new potential partners.
With the fresh concept of “celebrity’s friend,” producer Shin So-young’s bold entry into the romance reality genre is drawing attention, raising anticipation about whether it can elevate viewers’ excitement levels.
