DAY6‘s recent concert in Jakarta, which is part of their “Forever Young” world tour, was overshadowed by a significant fan protest. Hundreds of fans gathered outside the venue, voicing their frustration over a last-minute venue change and hazardous weather conditions that compromised their safety.

Originally scheduled at an indoor venue, the concert was relocated to an open-roof stadium due to a scheduling conflict with a local football match. This decision, announced just weeks before the event, raised concerns among fans about potential exposure to Indonesia’s unpredictable weather. Despite these worries, organizer Mecima Pro proceeded without offering refunds or adequate contingency plans.

On the day of the concert, attendees faced severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds. Many sought shelter under temporary tents, which eventually collapsed under the harsh weather, putting fans at risk of injury. Inside the venue, videos circulated showing the representative of Mecima Pro seated comfortably in the front row, dry and unaffected, further fueling fan anger.

As the concert proceeded, videos of the protest outside went viral, depicting fans chanting and demanding accountability. Inside, DAY6 members appeared visibly distressed, with some seen apologizing to fans during the performance. When the group welcomed fans, the crowd even loudly shouted “NO”, shocking the members.

Reports also indicated that the band and their team confronted Mecima Pro staff over the mishandling of the event. As of now, neither DAY6 nor Mecima Pro has released an official statement addressing the incident.

Fans are also trending their complaints across various social media platform, demanding Mecima Pro to take accountability and for JYP to never work with this organizer again.
