In a video where Lee Sun-kyun’s body was brought to cremation, many friends of the late actor were unable to hold back tears
On December 29, the funeral of late actor Lee Sun-kyun was officially held at the funeral home of Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul. After the formal ceremony, the remains of the deceased actor were moved to the Suwon City Crematorium and interred at Samsung Elysium in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.
Alongside the bereaved family, numerous seasoned artists and top names in the entertainment industry appeared at the funeral. It is known that Bong Joon-ho, the renowned director behind “Parasite”, attended the funeral for three consecutive days.
In addition, other celebrities such as Sol Kyung-gu, Park Sung-woong, Jung Woo-sung, Ryu Soo-young, Yoo Hae-jin, Gong Hyo-jin, and Kim Dong-wook were present to send Lee Sun-kyun on his final journey.
Lee Seong-min, Cho Jin-woong, and many other artists, who were Lee Sun-kyun’s friends, stayed by the side of the departed until the very last moment.
Meanwhile, Jeon Hye-jin, the late actor’s wife, tightly held the hand of her youngest son, her shoulders trembling with immense pain. Now, their once happy family of four is incomplete after a tragic passing.
