“Will You Sleep With Me?” Lee Se-young and Na In-woo Share a Steamy First Night in “Motel California”
In the MBC Friday-Saturday drama Motel California, which aired its first episode on January 10, Ji Kang-hee (Lee Se-young) is seen leaving Motel California. Upon Ji Kang-hee’s call, Cheon Yeon-su (Na In-woo) rushes to her side. When he asks about the teddy bear, Ji Kang-hee explains, “It’s a birthday gift for Chun-pil. Isn’t it ridiculous? It’s the original one. The motel is about to be auctioned, and she gives me a teddy bear worth over 1 million won? Can’t even pay the electricity bill. It’s crazy.”
While talking about college, Ji Kang-hee asks, “Yeon-su, will you sleep with me?” and adds, “You think about me all the time. It’s natural, right? It’s you and me.”
Surprised, Cheon Yeon-su tries to deflect, saying, “Don’t say nonsense,” but Ji Kang-hee teases, “You think about me every night. You even have condoms in your wallet.” In response, Cheon Yeon-su retorts, “You gave me promotional motel items like you did with your friends. You told me to share them.”
Ji Kang-hee provocatively says, “So there are two in your wallet? Then let’s use them.” Cheon Yeon-su, flustered, replies, “What’s wrong with you? I’m leaving.” Ji Kang-hee then confesses, “After you leave, you’ll meet other girls and fall in love, right? I hope your first time was with me.”
Cheon Yeon-su responds, “I don’t want to join in your rebellion,” but Ji Kang-hee explains, “It’s not rebellion or curiosity. The first time is always the purest.” She then kisses him. When Ji Kang-hee asks, “Do you want to stop?”, Cheon Yeon-su hesitates and asks, “Will you stay if we sleep together?”
Without hesitation, Ji Kang-hee answers, “I’ll leave. I’ll go somewhere where no one knows I’m different,” to which Cheon Yeon-su lovingly looks at her and says, “What’s different? You just look pretty to me.” Ji Kang-hee repeats, “Yeon-su, will you sleep with me?” and the two spend their first night together.
According to Nielsen Korea on January 11th, the first episode of Motel California, which aired on the 10th, recorded a national viewer rating of 4.5%. It is 1.0% lower than the rating of When The Phone Rings first episode (5.5%).
