Woman in Her 30s Sent to Prosecution for Repeatedly Threatening and Insulting Actress Han Ji Min
Actress Han Ji Min has become the target of a disturbing case of online harassment. A woman in her 30s, identified as A, has been formally handed over to prosecutors on charges of intimidation and insult after repeatedly posting threats and insults toward the actress on social media.

On March 28, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced that A was charged with 19 counts of online misconduct between September and October of 2024, including 11 instances of insult and 8 of intimidation, all made through her personal Instagram account.
Malicious Posts and Public Threats
According to police, the woman used her SNS account to post messages targeting Han Ji Min, including aggressive and threatening language such as:
“I’ll sabotage any film Han Ji Min appears in,”
and
“Shut your mouth.”
In several posts, she tagged Han Ji Min directly, as well as her acquaintances and colleagues, escalating the public visibility of the attacks.
Agency Responds “No Settlement or Leniency”
Han Ji Min’s agency, BH Entertainment, responded promptly to the harassment, stating:
“We identified a pattern of ongoing malicious slander, personal attacks, and the spread of baseless rumors against our artist. We filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station after hiring legal counsel.”
The agency added:
“These actions are clear violations of the law. There will be no settlement or leniency. We will continue to pursue all legal measures necessary to protect our artists.”
This case underscores the growing issue of cyberbullying and malicious online behavior targeting public figures in South Korea. As more celebrities take legal action, the entertainment industry is increasingly committed to holding perpetrators accountable.

Han Ji Min, known for her elegant image and acclaimed performances, has remained silent on the matter, entrusting the legal process to her agency.
