WOODZ’s Agency Addresses Rumors About Alleged Relationship with Late Actress Kim Sae-ron

On April 12, WOODZ’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, addressed growing rumors about the singer’s alleged relationship with late actress Kim Sae-ron.
In a statement to Ilgan Sports, the agency said, “Since this concerns the artist’s private life, it’s difficult to confirm. We ask for your understanding.” Despite this response, speculation has continued.

The rumors first gained traction on April 11, when YouTuber Lee Jin-ho revealed that Kim Sae-ron was allegedly in a romantic relationship with a singer referred to as “A” from early 2021 to May 2022. Lee Jin-ho claimed the two were essentially an open couple, citing incidents like Kim sending an anonymous coffee truck to “A’s” music video shoot and attending official events together with close celebrity friends.
The very next day, social media exploded with speculation that “A” was none other than WOODZ (Cho Seung-youn). Fans pointed to past social media interactions between the two, such as exchanged likes during the alleged timeline, and the coffee truck incident as potential proof of their relationship.

Currently, WOODZ is serving in the military and is not anticipated to be discharged until July 21.
Lee Jin-ho also linked Kim Sae-ron’s tragic DUI incident in May 2022 to the emotional fallout from this rumored breakup. He claimed that after the breakup, Kim missed an important dubbing session for her drama “Bloodhounds” and spent the night drinking with close friends, leading to the accident.

If these claims are true, they would contradict the assertion made by Kim Sae-ron’s family that she had been in a six-year relationship with actor Kim Soo-hyun starting in 2016. This overlap between the alleged relationship with WOODZ and the claims about Kim Soo-hyun raises serious questions about the credibility of the family’s statements.
