Red Velvet’s Yeri Begins a New Chapter as an Actress, Signs with Joo Ji-hoon’s Agency
Red Velvet’s member Yeri is officially embarking on her acting career under her real name, Kim Yerim. She has signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment, home to stars like Joo Ji-hoon and Chun Woo-hee, signaling a fresh new beginning.
Blitzway Entertainment stated, “We are delighted to join Kim Yerim, who has been actively working both domestically and internationally. We will fully support her so that her global experience and refined sensibilities can broaden her spectrum as an actress.”
Alongside the announcement, new profile photos of Kim Yerim were released, showcasing a chic and poised aura. Her intense gaze and restrained styling captured both mystery and strength, heightening anticipation for her upcoming journey as an actress.
In April 2025, both Wendy and Yeri concluded their exclusive contracts with SM Entertainment. Despite this, they have expressed their commitment to continue participating in Red Velvet’s group activities. Wendy has since signed with ASND Label, aiming to further explore her diverse talents in music and media.
Meanwhile, Irene and Seulgi have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment and are actively promoting as a sub-unit. They are set to release a new mini-album in May 2025 and will embark on their first Asia tour titled Balance, starting in June.
Joy also renewed her contract with SM Entertainment in January 2025 and continues to engage in various entertainment activities.
