On the May 19 episode of Channel A’s Secrets of the Detectives, which aired at 9:30 PM KST, featured a woman raising four children alone. She reached out to the panel—composed of Defconn, Yoo In Na, and Kim Poong—to share her devastating story.

According to the woman, her ex-husband has not paid a single won of the 80 million KRW (~$58,000 USD) in child support mandated by the court, despite reportedly earning 50 million KRW ($36,000 USD) per month.

Even more shocking, she claimed her ex-husband and former in-laws forcibly took over her parents’ restaurant—a family business that had operated for over 30 years. Her marriage, she revealed, was marked by 15 years of severe domestic abuse, culminating in a divorce. She also accused her ex-husband of sexually abusing their daughter and physically assaulting her in front of their children.

The ex-husband was eventually sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison and ordered to pay 2 million KRW per month in child support. However, the woman claimed he has since used various schemes to avoid fulfilling the court-ordered payments.

When she approached her former in-laws for help, she was met with cruel indifference and was told, “If you wanted child support, you shouldn’t have sent him to prison.”

The studio erupted in disbelief. Defconn exclaimed, “How is this even real?” while Yoo In-na, visibly trembling, declared, “It makes my blood boil. I’m shaking with fury.”

This episode of Detectives: The Trade Secret will further delve into the ex-husband’s criminal record and investigate whether he is hiding assets to evade financial responsibility for his children.
