Yoo Jae-suk shared an update on his relationship with Song Joong-ki following the actor’s remarriage during the June 28 episode of Pinggyego with Lee Hyori.
During the episode titled “It’s Just an Excuse to Share a Meal｜EP.80,” Yoo Jae-suk reflected on how Lee Hyori had been the very first guest on Running Man. In response, Hyori fondly mentioned Song Joong-ki, saying, “We got close around that time. He even appeared on my husband’s radio show afterward. He’s very warm and friendly.”
Curious if Song Joong-ki had appeared on Pinggyego, Hyori asked, “Has Joong-ki been on this show yet?” When told he hadn’t, she laughed, “He needs to come on!”
Looking directly into the camera, Yoo Jae-suk then playfully addressed the actor, “Joong-ki, you heard that, right? Hyori noona is calling you out.” He added with a hint of sincerity, “We used to keep in touch from time to time. But ever since he got married, it feels a bit more difficult to reach out.”
Song Joong-ki quietly remarried in 2023 to British actress Katy Louise Saunders and welcomed their first child the same year. Since then, his appearances and public interactions in Korean entertainment have slightly reduced, though he remains a top-tier actor with global popularity.
