On April 26, a new episode of the online channel DdeunDdeun featured comedians Kim Young-chul and Heo Kyung-hwan chatting with national MC Yoo Jae-suk in a segment titled “Catchphrases Are Just an Excuse.”

During the conversation, Kim Young-chul brought up his celebrity sighting story from a flight to Paris. “There was someone in a hoodie on the plane, and I had a feeling it might be someone famous. On the way to the restroom, I realized it was Lee Na-young and Won Bin. They looked so good together that I literally gasped,” he recalled, reenacting the moment.

When Yoo Jae-suk and Heo Kyung-hwan teased him for not saying hello, Kim Young-chul explained, “I wanted to respect their personal space.” Asked if the couple noticed him, he added, “Probably not. That’s why I didn’t greet them.”

Yoo Jae-suk then confessed, Won Bin is one of the few celebrities I’ve never seen in person. Not even once.”

Kim Young-chul went on to name his Top 3 most handsome male celebrities in real life:

  3. Go Soo

He shared an amusing story about seeing Song Seung-heon at a dinner with Shin Dong-yup, “Before we started eating, I just had to say something. I asked Dong-yup hyung, ‘Can I say this before we eat?’ and he said, ‘Go ahead.’ So I turned to Seung-heon and said, ‘You’re really good-looking.’ Then I could finally eat.”

As for Go Soo, Kim Young-chul recalled bumping into him at an optical shop, “When he walked in, my jaw dropped. I even told him, ‘Mi-sun noona is a big fan of yours,’” he said, before launching into a hilarious impression of comedienne Park Mi-sun.

Won Bin, once considered one of South Korea’s most beloved actors, has been notably absent from the industry since his role in The Man from Nowhere (2010). Despite continued public interest and many casting offers, he has yet to return to acting. This long hiatus has made seeing him in person increasingly rare even for top celebrities like Yoo Jae-suk.
