Yoo Yeon Seok Reveals Wardrobe Clash With Stylist Over “Too Flashy” Jacket

On the July 1 episode of SBS’s variety show Whenever Possible, actor Yoo Yeon Seok hilariously revealed he had a disagreement with his stylist over his bold outfit specifically, a shiny green silk jacket that caused quite the stir.

Joined by guest Jang Hyun Sung and actor Kim Dae Myung, the cast visited Suyu-dong as part of their latest adventure. As Yoo Yeon Seok stepped onto the set in his statement piece, Yoo Jae Suk immediately quipped, “Are you performing today?” prompting laughter.

Trying to play along, Yoo Yeon Seok replied, “Aren’t we going clubbing?” before admitting, “I actually argued with my stylist today. I told them you’d make a comment about this jacket. I wanted to wear a cardigan instead.”

Yoo Jae Suk joked back, “As soon as I saw it, I said it’s very Harajuku-style.” Things escalated when Jang Hyun Sung arrived and, stunned by the outfit, exclaimed, “What is that jacket?”

Comparisons were drawn with Kim Dae Myung, who wore casual clothes. Jang teased, “You look so unnatural,” to which Yoo Jae Suk added, “Definitely looks like a celebrity,” and Kim Dae Myung chimed in, “It’s all showy.”

Jang Hyun Sung also recalled his early memories with Yoo Yeon Seok on the daily drama Pumpkin Flower Innocence, describing the then-newcomer as “frail-looking but incredibly hardworking.” This prompted Yoo Jae Suk to comment, “He worked hard,” only for Yoo Yeon Seok to shoot back, “Why the past tense?” sparking more laughs.

Later, the cast visited a laundromat run by a married couple. Kim Dae Myung revealed he’d found them through their YouTube channel while looking for advice on removing oil stains from shirts. The wife, who is older than her husband, said, “We clashed when we were younger, but now we treat this as work. I’m the senior, both in age and rank,” showing off her charismatic presence.

Meanwhile, Yoo Yeon Seok, still wearing the now-iconic club jacket, took on a thread-spooling challenge from a sewing kit. To everyone’s delight, he succeeded on both the first and second stages, the latter after 10 attempts. Yoo Jae Suk praised him with a hearty, “Well done!” while Jang Hyun Sung declared, “Today is Yoo Yeon Seok’s day.”
