OH MY GIRL’s YooA Signs with SARAM Entertainment: Begins Second Chapter as Actress
On June 2, SARAM Entertainment confirmed that they have signed an exclusive contract with the singer and will support her transition into acting.
“We have signed an exclusive contract with YooA. She is an artist with infinite potential and talent. We are thrilled to be starting her acting journey together and will provide full support so that she can thrive across various fields,” the agency stated.
YooA made her debut in 2015 as part of OH MY GIRL, capturing hearts with chart-topping hits like “Secret Garden,” “Nonstop,” “Dolphin,” and “Dun Dun Dance.” Known for her dreamy visuals and unique stage presence, she was the first in her group to venture into solo activities, releasing her mini album Bon Voyage in 2020, followed by SELFISH and her single album Borderline — all of which showcased her versatility as an artist.
Now, YooA is ready to challenge herself on the big screen. Her acting debut will come through the crime drama film Project Y. The film follows two characters, Mi-seon and Do-kyung, who cling to each other in desperate circumstances as they attempt to steal hidden cash and gold bars to escape their harsh realities.
With the backing of SARAM Entertainment — home to numerous respected actors — and the momentum of a strong music career, anticipation is high for YooA’s evolution into a compelling new talent in the acting world.
