Yoon Eun-hye Reveals Why She’s Stayed Single for 13 Years: “Hurt by Public Attacks, I Delayed Marriage”
Actress and former Baby V.O.X member Yoon Eun-hye made a heartfelt appearance on the March 21 episode of MBN’s variety show The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2, where she candidly discussed her long hiatus from dating and her evolving thoughts on marriage.
While dining with Jun Hyun-moo and YouTuber Kwak Joon-bin at a familiar sukiyaki restaurant, the group shared laughter as the restaurant owner jokingly exposed Hyun-moo’s frequent visits. Amid light-hearted banter, the conversation shifted to deeper topics, especially when Jun Hyun-moo asked Yoon directly: “Don’t you think it’s time to think about marriage?”

To everyone’s surprise, Yoon Eun-hye replied, “I haven’t dated in 13 years.”
She clarified that it wasn’t a conscious decision at first. “It wasn’t planned. I just became really focused on work. But now, I do want to get married—maybe within three years. I’ve never even held hands and gone out with someone in a long time. Sometimes I get envious when I hear people say, ‘I had dinner with someone.’”
Reflecting on her past, Yoon revealed that during her Goong era, she strongly desired marriage. “Back then, I thought marriage meant I could live my life without being judged. But my dramas were doing so well, and that dream got postponed.”
She went on to explain how emotional wounds from harsh public criticism played a major role in her decision to stay away from relationships. “There were tough personal moments. It felt like everything important kept getting delayed. It took me about 10 years to find myself again. I used to feel resentful—‘Why do people only see what they want to see?’ But now I’ve realized that if I don’t make it a problem, it won’t be one. I finally feel ready to date and get married.”

Jun Hyun-moo added his own wisdom to the conversation: “It takes a long time to accept the truth that not everyone will like you. We end up trying so hard to convince people.”
Yoon Eun-hye’s candidness left a lasting impression, reminding viewers that behind the glitz of fame lies the very human journey of healing, growth, and hope for love.
