Before becoming an actress, Yoon Eun-hye was a member of the girl group Baby V.O.X. In the early 2000s, Baby V.O.X was a very popular group but also faced a significant number of haters.
As a result, on May 25, 2000, Yoon Eun-hye was attacked by an anti-fan while visiting the Gyeongin Broadcasting Station for a show. The anti-fan disguised themselves as a fan and approached Yoon Eun-hye by giving her a Pikachu doll. They then used a water gun to spray a liquid onto the right side of her face before fleeing. Baby V.O.X members described the liquid as smelling like soy sauce and vinegar. As a result of the attack, Baby V.O.X had to cancel their filming, and Yoon Eun-hye was immediately taken to the hospital.

In the end, Yoon eun-hy suffered from an eye injury and had to wear an eye patch to future schedules for a long time. However, Yoon Eun-hye chose not to report the attacker to the police. She also didn’t take time off and returned to her schedule just a few days later, saying during an appearance in a show, “My eye was swollen because of the water gun attack, but I couldn’t disappoint the fans.” At that time, Yoon Eun-hye was not yet 16 years old, and her professionalism earned her much praise.

On the other hand, Baby V.O.X officially debuted in the K-pop scene in 1997. It took just about a year for the group to gain attention with their song “Ya Ya Ya.” Baby V.O.X’s career skyrocketed in 1999 with the hit “Get Up,” which dominated music charts in South Korea. The group continued to achieve success with several music releases embraced by the public. Baby V.O.X officially disbanded in 2006, although they had effectively ceased activities in 2004.

In the group, Yoon Eun-hye was the youngest member. After the group disbanded, she rose to fame with hit dramas such as “Princess Hours”, “The Vineyard Man”, and “Coffee Prince”. This led to rumors of jealousy and isolation by other Baby V.O.X members. However, they reunited on stage at the 2024 KBS Gayo Daechukje and publicly denied any negative rumors.
