Yoon Shi-yoon Sparks Concern After Weight Loss in Latest Photos in the Philippines

On March 26, Yoon shared a series of candid photos showing his life abroad. In one image, he is seen wearing a blue denim shirt, carefully choosing bread at a local café, exuding a calm and thoughtful vibe. His long permed hair and leaner face gave him a more mature and artistic look. In another photo, he peeks out playfully from behind a wall, flashing a bright smile that caught fans off guard.

More striking, however, were his noticeably slimmer features. Kneeling on the ground with a camera in hand, Yoon seemed immersed in capturing moments of daily life. His sharp jawline and defined nose prompted fans to liken him to a “slimmer Lee Joon-gi.” The photos immediately set off a flurry of reactions online.

Comments included:
- “He looks like a skinny Lee Joon-gi.”
- “He’s still so handsome.”
- “Please post more everyday photos like this.”
- “Don’t lose too much weight!”
- “He looks sick from the weight loss.”
The concern stems partly from what Yoon Shi-yoon himself revealed last year. During a live broadcast through his agency MOA Entertainment’s official channel, he shared that he had relocated to the Philippines to study English. After a halted project left him uncertain about his future, Yoon decided to confront his fear of English by immersing himself in language study overseas.
“I’ve been here for about a month, and I’ve already lost 4kg,” he revealed. “Studying English as an adult can be intimidating, so I started from beginner level. My teachers are kind and teach me every single word. In Korea, I felt pressured to constantly do something even during breaks, it felt like taking time for myself was a luxury. Now, approaching 40, I’ve come to realize true happiness comes from connection and solidarity with others.”

Yoon Shi-yoon first rose to fame through the hit sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof,” winning hearts as the lovestruck high school student. Since then, he’s continued to build a respected acting career with lead roles in series like “Bread, Love and Dreams”, “Flower Boy Next Door,” “Secret Healer,” “Nokdu Flower,” “Psychopath Diary,” and “Work Later, Drink Now” (Seasons 1 and 2.)
While fans are grateful for the personal updates, they also hope Yoon takes care of his health, and continues to share more of his journey, both as an actor and as a person rediscovering himself far from home.
