“Moon Lovers” Actor to Marry His Co-star in October After 10 Years of Quiet Romance

According to reports from Edaily on July 1, actors Yoon Sun-woo and Kim Ga-eun quietly built their relationship after first meeting on the set of the 2015 KBS2 drama Single-minded Dandelion. Initially friends, they gradually became romantically involved, nurturing their love over the past decade while supporting each other’s careers behind the scenes.

A close acquaintance of the couple shared, “Both Yoon Sun-woo and Kim Ga-eun are known for their kind personalities. They’ve continued their relationship with mutual trust and respect for many years, and it’s truly heartwarming to see them finally tie the knot.”

Yoon Sun-woo made his entertainment debut in 2003, but it was in 2014 with Single-minded Dandelion that he began gaining recognition as an actor. He has since appeared in a variety of hit dramas, including SBS’s Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), SBS’s Stove League (2019), and ENA’s Good Job (2022). In 2025, he will return to the stage in the play My Mister, taking on the role of Do Jun-young.

Kim Ga-eun debuted as an SBS open recruit talent in 2009. She has built an impressive acting resume, with roles in Giant (2010), Brain (2011), Because This Is My First Life (2017), The Light in Your Eyes (2019), and most recently in King the Land (2023). She is also slated to appear in tvN’s 2025 drama The Potato Lab.
