On July 2, the YouTube channel HyeL’s Club released episode 54 titled “The Girls We Loved Back Then… It’s Already Our 15th Anniversary”. The video featured the full Girls’ Day lineup Sojin, Yura, Bang Min Ah, and Hyeri reuniting to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary.
Hyeri expressed her excitement, saying, “Fans were already buzzing the day before the shoot. I think so many have been waiting for this.” The members echoed similar sentiments, reminiscing about their last group performance in 2018. “We didn’t realize it was our last stage together,” said Bang Min Ah and Yura, while Sojin and Hyeri admitted they had sensed it might be the end back then.
The most heartfelt moment came when the members shared their sincere thoughts with each other. Yura, in particular, said, “We filled in each other’s gaps so well as a team. Even if we don’t see each other often, I hope we always stay close… Let’s be together even after we have kids.”
Fans immediately connected Yura’s words to Bang Min Ah, who announced her marriage to On Joo-wan the very same day. Comments poured in like, “She must have known and was addressing Bang Min Ah directly,” and “Their friendship is so real it brings me to tears.”
The members also shared sweet and funny memories. Bang Min Ah joked about being mistaken for the youngest despite being older than Hyeri, even recalling a time she tearfully reminded Hyeri of her seniority. Sojin praised Hyeri’s maturity, referencing her charitable work, and Hyeri, in return, tearfully thanked her members and wished them health and success, leaving everyone emotional.
Bang Min Ah and On Joo-wan are set to marry in November. The two met during the 2016 SBS drama Beautiful Gong Shim and rekindled their bond in the 2021 musical The Days, eventually growing from longtime friends into lovers.
Though time and careers may have taken them on different paths, Girls’ Day has proven that true friendship endures. Now, as Bang Min Ah steps into a new chapter of her life, she does so with her beloved members still by her side—and fans couldn’t be more touched.
