Park Shin-hye will come back to the small screen for the first time in three years since JTBC’s drama “Sisyphus: The Myth” in 2021. Previously, Park Shin-hye married Choi Tae-joon in January 2022 and gave birth to a son in May of the same year.
“Actually, I don’t think my mindset has changed a lot since we both have the same mindset when acting,” Park Shin-hye said on her return to the TV after a long time. “I enjoyed filming because I knew (Park) Hyung-sik and received a lot of help while working on the show. It’s just the environment that has changed, but I feel the same way.”
JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Doctor Slump,” which Park Shin-hye chose as her next project, is a romantic comedy about the “destroyed life” of Jung Yu-woo (Park Hyung-sik) and Nam Ha-neul (Park Shin-hye), who were properly braked while running only the upward curve of their lives. In particular, the chemistry between Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik, who reunite 11 years after SBS’s “The Heirs,” is expected to be another point to attract viewers to watch “Doctor Slump.”
Meanwhile, MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Knight Flower” is Lee Honey’s return to the drama area three years after giving birth. The drama is a close-knit comic action historical drama about Yeo-hwa (Lee Honey), a daughter-in-law of a prestigious family by day and a hero by night.
At the drama’s press conference, Lee said, “I think I made a quick decision because I felt my heart beating after a long time, and I wanted to go to the filming site quickly, and I was looking forward to it because director Jang Tae-yu was with me.” In addition, Lee surprised everyone by saying that she did wire action scenes six months after giving birth for this work.
Lee Ha-nee’s return project, which was mixed with blood, sweat, and tears, sent a pleasant signal with favorable ratings from the first broadcast. The 5th episode, which aired on the 26th, recorded its own highest ratings with 12% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 11.4% in the nation (according to Nielsen Korea).
