According to an exclusive report by IZE on March 5, KBS’s music review results listed “Ash,” a track from LE SSERAFIM’s upcoming 5th mini-album “HOT,” as unsuitable for broadcast.
Set to be released on the 14th, “Ash” is one of the songs from “HOT,” with member Huh Yun-jin credited for her contributions to both the lyrics and composition. She also participated in writing the album’s title track “HOT” and “So Cynical (Badum),” making her a credited contributor to three songs in total.

KBS deemed “Ash” unfit for broadcast due to its lyrics, citing concerns about the depiction of self-harm and references to physical or psychological abuse that could be perceived as distressing. However, songs disqualified in the review can be resubmitted after modifying or removing the problematic content. Only those that pass the review can be aired on KBS TV and radio programs.
Aside from “Ash,” the other tracks from “HOT” including the title song “HOT” and three additional songs, “Born Fire,” “Come Over,” and “So Cynical (Badum)” were approved.

Meanwhile, “A.M.F’s DAMAGE (English ver.)” and “Damage” were also deemed ineligible for broadcast in this KBS music review.
For this comeback, LE SSERAFIM will collaborate with global artists, including American guitarist Nile Rodgers and Japanese singer-songwriter imase. However, the girl group’s upcoming return is facing certain controversies, including repeated plagiarism accusations and now their song being deemed ineligible in KBS Music Show.
